New COVID-19 Colour Code System For Ontario

The province is moving to a new coloured-coded COVID-19 classification system.

Premier Doug Ford says the framework was developed with the help of medical experts and will be applied separately in individual regions of the province.

“This planning framework provides structure. It will help inform decisions on regional province-wide health measures based on the data we’re seeing,” says the premier.

The new colour-scale show green is the lowest end with grey for a lockdown classification.

Green=Prevent (lowest level or restrictions)
Yellow=Protect (strengthened restrictions.)
Orange=restrict (more)
Red=Control(modified stage 2)
Grey=Lockdown

The Northwestern Health Unit is code green.
