Familiar Names Returned In State/Local Elections

The election results were a little more clear cut in state and local elections in Minnesota.

Rob Ecklund won 52 per cent of the vote to retain his seat as State Representative for District 3A, which includes International Falls.

Tom Baak returns as State Senator for District 3.

Harley Droba won 54 per cent of the vote to return as mayor of International Falls. He became mayor shortly after the untimely death of Bob Anderson in September 2019.

Mike Holden won the Council-at-Large seat.

In a City question, over 52 per cent did not support chickens raised within city limits.

In other election results, Dennis Wagner returns as Mayor of Ranier.

Incumbent Todd Coulombe and Jennifer Lahmayer won the two council seats up for grabs.

In Koochiching County elections, Terry Murray defeated incumbent Brian McBride as District 3 Commissioner.

Wayne Skoe retained his seat in District 5.
