Interim Liberal Leader Critical Of Ford Government

The provincial Liberals are calling the past 12 months at Queens Park a wasted year.

Interim Leader John Fraser addressed municipal reps in Ottawa this week.

Fraser doesn’t think the Ford government is “protecting what matters most.”

“And if there was only one thing, one thing you need to know about this government, it’s that they hired $1000 a day special adviser for alcohol and they axed the child advocate,” notes Fraser.

Fraser also believes the PCs are overstating the deficit.

“If you deconstruct that, a big chunk of it is the accounting treatment that they’re using for pension assets. They’re accepting that conditionally. I’m gonna make a prediction here right now. In 2 years, they’re gonna go back to what it was before.”

Fraser also warns of more cuts that will be deeper than what they are now.
