Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team captured the K-Town Classic tournament in Kenora, beating St. Thomas Aquinas Saints 3-2 in the shoot out.

Atikokan Voyageurs senior girls volleyball team defeated the Fort Frances Muskies at the Westgate Spike Off in Thunder Bay to capture gold.
Scores were 23-25; 25-23 and 15-11.
Rainy River Owls were victorious at the junior girls volleyball tournament in Dryden, beating the host team two games to one in the final.
Fort Frances Muskies Gold team reached the semi-finals before being eliminated by Dryden.
Three other Muskies squads were knocked out in early playoff games.
Fort Frances Muskies senior basketball team finished 15th overall at a tournament in Brandon, beating Saskatoon’s Bedford Road 85-46.
The junior team lost to the Killarney Raiders in their Tier 2 15th place game 73-65.
At Falls High School over the weekend, Brady Wicklund scored the winner in overtime to give the Broncos boys hockey team a 5-4 win over Kittson on Saturday.
The junior Broncos beat Kittson 10-1.
The Broncos girls team was shutout Friday, 10-0 by Duluth.
The boys basketball team lost 83-41 to Virginia, also Friday.
Rainy River Voyageurs men’s basketball team swept a pair of home games on the weekend, winning 105-76 over Gogebic on Friday and 86-76 over Lake Superior College on Saturday.
The women dropped both their games, losing 74-61 to Gogebic and 60-57 to Lake Superior.
Fort Frances Lakers dropped a pair of games in Thunder Bay.
They lost 5-2 Saturday and 4-2 on Friday.
