Youth Inspired And Produced Video Released

An effort to incorporate more of the arts into the United Native Friendship Centre’s programming has led to the release of a youth-inspired and produced video.

The project is called Wake the Youth.

Program director Maverick Judson says young people between the ages of 9 and 14 were fully involved in the production.

“You know, not all kids are into sports or at least they’re not 100 percent absorbed in it and they want to try something a little bit different. It just gives them a taste of the arts and at the end of it, they might want to pursue something further,” says Judson.

Judson says he was very pleased with the final outcome.

He would like to continue it and bring it into other communities across the district and elsewhere.

A private showing was held last night with the video making released on social media today.

You can find it here.
