WSIB reaches tentative deal with CUPE local 1750

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board says it has reached a deal with its striking workers.

The WSIB says there is a tentative agreement with CUPE Local 1750 of the Ontario Compensation Employees Union.

The terms of the contract have not been released.

About 3,600 employees with the WSIB have been on strike for the past six weeks.

The WSIB says it should have a full team 24 hours after a successful ratification vote.
