Yesterday’s cold weather led to a weather record for Fort Frances.
The low of minus 38 C eclipsed the old mark of minus 34.8 C set back in 2016.
The coldest spot in the region was Atikokan where the thermometre reached minus 38.4 C.
Atikokan is currently under a cold weather warning with wind chills expected near minus 40 C this morning.
