Warnings But No Damage Reported

No reports of any activity after Environment Canada issued a tornado watch for the Fort Frances area yesterday.

The watch was also issued for the Morson, Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls and Kenora areas.

It stated conditions were favourable for severe thunderstorms that could produce a tornado.

There were some thunderstorm activities overnight but it brought only a bit of rain to Fort Frances and International Falls.

According to the National Weather Service, the winds never reached beyond 20 kilometres an hour.

Conditions were similar in the Baudette/Rainy River area.

The watch was lifted just before midnight.
