Rainy River Voyageurs women’s volleyball team opened their season in the MCAC, losing three games to none to the Vermilion Ironwomen from Ely.
Former Fort Frances Muskies standout Savannah McGuiness had five digs, two kills, two ace serves and an ace block.
Cara Polk from Texas served up two aces and had 15 set assists.
Her twin sister Cyra added nine digs.
Kaitlyn Stavish from International Falls recorded five kills and two ace blocks.
Maddie Lowe, also from the Falls, added five kills, two ace serves and two ace blocks.
The Voyageurs next face the Hibbing Cardinals next Wednesday in Hibbing.
