Voter Turnout Drops From 2019

There were a lot of people who just decided to skip the election.

Voter turnout nationally was less than 59 per cent.

That is down almost eight per cent from 2019.

The numbers do not include mail-in ballots which as being counted today.

A similar number in northwestern Ontario where 59 per cent of eligible voters in Thunder Bay-Rainy River cast ballots.

That’s the lowest since 2008.

Turnout in 2019 was almost 63 per cent.
