Voter Turnout Continues to be Slow

Fort Frances could be headed toward its lowest voter turned out for a municipal election.

After three days of Internet and telephone voting, the town reports 21.1 per cent of eligible voters have cast ballots.

About five per cent of voters cast ballots on Wednesday.

So far, 985 votes have come through a secure Internet website.

The other 125 have been cast over the phone.

The town used similar voting methods in 2018, attracting just over 50 per cent of eligible voters.

Voting continues all day and night right up until Monday at 8 p.m.
