Variants Identified In Rainy River District

The Northwestern Health Unit says two of the COVID-19 cases in the Rainy River District have been confirmed to be variants.

There are three active cases in the district.

The Health Unit says the variant is the Beta version previously known as the UK variant.

The exact location of the cases is not identified due to a change in reporting by the Health Unit.

There were no new cases reported on Thursday.

Meantime, Ontario reported 384 new cases.

In Minnesota, a total of 91 new cases was identified.

Two of them are in Koochiching County.
