Ontario Provincial Police and Treaty Three Police Service are investigating a suspicious death at Wabaseemoong First Nation.
Member of Treaty 3 Police and Emergency Medical Services were called to a home in the community about a person facing life-threatening injuries.
The victim was transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The cause of death isn’t being revealed.
A forensic post-mortem examination is to be conducted in Toronto on Monday at the Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex .
Treaty Three Police, and the OPP’s Northwest Region Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services Unit are involved in the investigation.
Police say further details will be released pending the results of the post-mortem exam.
