T3P make several drug trafficking arrests

The Treaty #3 Police say they have interrupted a drug trafficking network on local First Nations.

In total, eight people have been arrested.

Police initially began their investigation late last year on Naotkamegwanning (Whitefish Bay), Northwest Angle #33, and Northwest Angle #37 First Nations.

In February, a 43-year-old man from the Onigaming First Nation was arrested, and a gram of cocaine was seized.

This past Friday, seven more people were arrested: five from Kenora and two from the Whitefish Bay First Nation.

They all face charges of drug trafficking, and one person has been arrested for having outstanding warrants.
