Stuff A Cruiser On For Saturday

Area residents being asked to help stuff a cruiser or two this weekend.

The annual food drive for food banks in Fort Frances, Emo and Rainy River goes tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations.

Jill Pernsky with the Salvation Army says the event is vital for the food banks.

“This is what basically fills up our food banks for the next couple of months. It also goes toward our hampers and each year we do at least 200 hampers,” says Pernsky.

Volunteers will be at locations with wish lists and reusable bags for the public to fill.

Pernsky says they are also looking for help. If you are interested, you’re asked just to show up at any of the locations

Food is also being collected for the Community Christmas dinner.

Last year’s event collected enough food to fill almost 60 police cruisers.
