Six New Cases Added By NWHU

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 within its catchment area Thursday morning.

Four of the new cases come from the Sioux Lookout area, while there is one new case each in the Dryden and Kenora health hubs.

The regional health authority says there are 49 active cases, up from the 47 reported on Wednesday.

There are currently 35 active cases in the Sioux Lookout region, six in the Kenora area, five in the Dryden health hub, two in the Fort Frances area and one in the Emo area.

Three people are now in hospital with the virus.

There are two new cases in Minnesota’s Koochiching County with another identified as probable.

Lake of the Woods County reports two new cases as well.
