The SIJHL season is almost ready to get underway.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs play the Red Lake Miners in a pair of games this weekend, with the first game tonight in Dryden and returning to Red Lake tomorrow night.
The Fort Frances Lakers meanwhile meet the Winnipeg Monarchs, formerly the Winnipeg Freeze of the MJHL.
Also, the Kam River Fighting Walleye take on the Thunder Bay North Stars tonight in the battle for the Teleco Cup.
The season begins next Friday.
