Severe weather possible in parts of northwestern Ontario

Environment Canada is issuing weather warnings for parts of northwestern Ontario.

It is because of a system that has the potential to bring heavy rain, hail, and strong winds.

It could also lead to tornado activity.

Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop south of the border before pushing into the region late this afternoon.

It is expected to move away tonight.

Weather advisories have been issued for the Kenora, Sioux-Narrows and Dryden areas, as well as the Rainy River District between Rainy River and Seine River.
