The group that provided advice to the provincial government during the pandemic is getting a name change,
The Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table will be known as the Ontario Public Health Emergencies Science Advisory Committee.
The Science table now falls under the jurisdiction of Public Health Ontario.
Its new mandate will provide input on a spectrum of public health emergencies.
The committee will consist of fifteen members.
Existing Table members have been invited to submit their expressions of interest to join the new board before a public call for members is announced on September 8.
