School Board Seeks More Money

The Rainy River District School Board is applying for more provincial funding for the construction of its consolidated school project in the town of Rainy River.

This after bids for the project came in over budget.

The Board doesn’t say by how much but indicates it was significant so no tender has been granted.

The project calls for a complete renovation of Rainy River High School to accommodate both elementary and high school students in the future.

The Ministry of Education gave the school board to proceed with the project a few months ago.
