Area residents continue to be eyed as potential victims by scam artists.
OPP say in a recent case a 56-year-old man gave out his Social Insurance Number in an on-line scam.
In another recent case, an elderly woman got as far as withdrawing a large sum of money in connection with a scam related to the Canada Revenue Agency.
Fortunately, the woman turned to police before actually sending the money.
