Salmonella Outbreak Reaches Minnesota

Health officials in Minnesota are looking into cases of salmonella linked to pre-cut melon.

It’s part of a multi-state investigation that has since led to recalls of fresh cut watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe and mixed fruit containing melon packaged by Caito Foods.

A total of 93 cases of salmonella have been reported in nine states since last month.

Three of the cases were in Minnesota that effected one adult and two children.

All have since recovered.
