Riverside reports new outbreak

Riverside Health Care is reporting a respiratory outbreak at Rainy River Health Centre’s Long-Term Care area.

This has led to restrictions on visitors, admissions and group activities.

Residents are restricted to having no more than two visitors or caregivers in their room at one time.

Riverside has been dealing with a number of outbreaks in recent weeks.

A gastrointestinal outbreak at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home in Fort Frances has now been declared over, returning the facility to full function.

Visitor and resident restrictions that had been in place are no longer in effect.

Riverside continues to ask visitors of any of its facilities to self-assess for illness and stay away if not feeling well to avoid spreading to others.
