Riverside Health Care is clearing up some misinformation that may be spreading about a recent COVID-19 case in the Rainy River district.
Riverside confirms a person who works at LaVerendrye Hospital was infected, but there are no individuals with the virus admitted to hospital.
Along with protocols already in place, Riverside says it’s taken additional steps with anyone who may have been in close contact, including having non-clinical staff isolate and work from home, others wear a high protection level mask and testing of all clinical areas.
There are no other cases associated at this time.
