Firefighters battle blaze at Fort Frances business

Fire has damaged the Canadian Tire store in Fort Frances.

Reports came in just after 11 pm on Thursday. Heavy smoke was found when firefighters arrived.

The sprinkler system kept the flames contained to a small area, allowing crews to bring the fire under control.

No one was inside when the fire broke out.

It was a challenging one for firefighters due to the extreme cold.

The building was ventilated to clear away hazards.

There’s no word on a cause yet.

OPP could be seen guarding the business on Friday morning after the fire.
