Province Dips Below 2,400 Daily Cases

Ontario is reporting one of the lowest increases in new COVID-19 cases since late December.

The province is confirming 2,359 infections, the second-lowest increase this year.

It dipped lower on one day earlier this week, but health officials said that was likely due to under-reporting in Toronto.

Health officials also reported 52 more deaths.

There are 26 new cases in the Thunder Bay District.

Most are from either close contact or the outbreak at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.

There are 160 active cases in the district right now.

This story will be updated with the Northwestern Health Unit cases when they are announced.
