The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River feels the Ontario government has delivered on the promises made for northwestern Ontario.
Looking back at 2019, Greg Rickford notes there were many announcements for the Rainy River district.
“I would describe the work we’ve done in 2019 as being prioritized on infrastructure, support for municipalities, support for health care through increased investments and economic development,” says Rickford.
Rickford feels that they’ve also put Fort Frances and the area back on the map at Queen’s Park.
Being named the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines and Indigenous Affairs has also meant a lot of travel for the area’s MPP.
He says if anything he’d like to get to riding even more often than he has done.
“I’m present a lot but I’d like to increase that time. I don’t always like to wait for the legislature to rise for Christmas or the summer to expand my constituency office service.”
