Power Remains Out For Some Area Residents

There are still more than 900 Hydro One customers in the Rainy River District without power this morning.

Some have been without electricity since Sunday night when strong storms rolled through.

Most are in the Burditt Lake and Nestor Falls areas.

Hydro One says about 500 customers in Nestor Falls are still in the dark with another 190 customers facing the same fate in the Burditt Lake area.

Another 367 customers in an area between Mine Centre, Seine River and Lac La Croix are also waiting for their electricity to return.

Hydro One says its crews have been dealing with a number of downed lines and trees that fell on lines.

There are also outages impacting the Morson and Nym Lake, east of Atikokan.

Hydro One says it could be at least 11 a.m. today before power is fully restored to all areas.
