Poirier Elected Mayor of Kenora

Councillor Andrew Poirier will be the new mayor of the City of Kenora.

He won in a landslide Monday night, picking up 64 percent of the vote.

Andy Scribilo was next at 25 percent followed by David Byers-Kitt at 10 percent.

Barb Manson was the top vote getter for city council, followed by Lisa Moncrief in second and
Bob Bernie in third.

Kelsie Van Belleghem was fourth followed by Lindsey Koch in fifth.

The only incumbent to make it in was Graham Chaze in 6th

Sharon Smith and Mort Goss were seventh and eighth respectively.

Voter turnout was 52.7 percent, which was higher than the last municipal election in 2018, which was 49.8 percent.
