One person is dead following an airplane crash on Lake of the Woods.
The OPP along with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre were contacted Wednesday night around 7:55 about the crash.
The plane wreckage was located on Shore Island on Lake of the Woods, which is near the Aulneau Peninsula.
One person was found dead, but no name has been released.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
