Some high schools in northwestern Ontario are closed today because of the continued rotating strikes by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation.
Teachers and education workers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board are among those in 27 other areas of the province taking part in stike action.
Meantime, teachers continue to gain public support.
The latest polling from Environics Research suggests two-thirds of Ontario residents support teachers continuing to negotiate for a better offer than one presented by the provincial government.
Twelve per cent weren’t sure what teachers should do.
