OPSEU Tells Members To Reject Offer

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union is telling college faculty to reject their employer’s latest contract offer.

The College Employer Council wants the Ontario Labour Relations Board to force a vote on the offer.

Union president Warren (Smokey) Thomas accuses the Council of disregarding the bargaining process.

Thomas feels a better deal is still possible.

Some 15-thousand faculty, including those at Confederation College, have been working to rule since December 18.
