OPP, T3PS Lay Drug Trafficking Charges

Three people are facing multiple charges following an arrest Friday morning.

Members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the Organized Crime & Enforcement Bureau, the Kenora OPP detachment and Treaty 3 Police Service searched a home on River Drive resulting in the seizure of drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.

34-year-old Matthew Morgan and 54-year-old Jamie Plamondon both three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, cocaine and opioids) as well as possession of a schedule one substance.

52-year-old Carey Sas faces the same charges as Morgan and Plamondon in addition to possession of property obtained by crime.

Two were released pending an April 15th court date, while the third was held for bail.

The search warrant is part of an on-going investigation into the sale of drugs in the northwest.
