NWHU Adds Nine New Cases

Another case of COVID-19 is being reported in the Fort Frances area.

It’s the second case within a week.

The other was reported last Saturday.

It was one of nine new cases reported by our Health Unit on Thursday.

Six others are in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub and two in the Kenora area.

The number of active cases is up to 45, which includes the two cases in the Fort Frances area.

The number of people in hospital due to the virus is down to two.

The Health Unit has also administered 13,780 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

The active case count in the Thunder Bay Health Unit has dropped to 103.

There were only three new cases yesterday.

In Ontario as a whole, there 3,300 new cases.

In Minnesota, over 25-hundred new cases were reported on Thursday.

Koochiching County has ten new cases and another probable case.

There are now 61 active cases in the County.

In nearby Lake of the Wood County, three new cases were added to its count.
