New Forest Fire Within Rainy River District

A forest fire near in the Rainy River district among four new blazes that broke out across northwestern Ontario yesterday.

As of last night, the small blaze near Kindle Lake, about 75 kilometres northeast of Fort Frances, was still listed as not under control.

Two others, one on an island on Rainy Lake and the other on an island at Bluffpoint Lake, 60 kilometres north of Fort Frances, have now been declared out.

Both of those fires were reported Saturday.
