New COVID-19 Cases

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting a new case of COVID-19 case in the Kenora area.

Follow up with the person involved and their contacts have started.

The Health Unit doesn’t release specific details, including the exact location of the test result due to privacy concerns.

There are seven active cases, four in the Kenora area, two in the Sioux Lookout region and one within the area covering the Dryden and Red Lake region.

There are another five new cases within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s catchment area.

It says all got the virus while being nearby someone else who was previously diagnosed with the virus.

There are now 41 active cases in that district.

In Minnesota, there are five new cases of COVID-19 in Koochiching County.

There are now close to 70 active cases in the County.

Five new cases are in Lake of the Woods County, where as many as 15 cases are active.
