New CAO named for Emo

The township of Emo has removed the interim tag from its Chief Administrative Officer.

Crystal Gray now takes on the role permanently.

Gray, the township’s deputy-treasurer, was appointed interim CAO in April 2022.

“Mrs. Gray is a welcome addition to the township of Emo as we work towards rebuilding staff, working towards updating and developing Emo’s
community strategic plan, updating our Asset Management Plans, numerous policies, and procedures. Mrs. Gray’s enthusiasm and drive is a much-needed addition to Emo as we work towards accessing as many grants and funding opportunities as possible to allow us to update and improve Emo,” states Emo Mayor Harold McQuaker in a release.

Gray will also continue to serve as clerk as well as deputy-treasurer.

She has over thirteen year’s of experience in municipal government and with various boards and organizations in the Rainy River District.

Emo has not had a permanent CAO since 2021.
