If you find yourself phoning southern Ontario the odd time, you might be using a new area code in the fall.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) says on October 16 it’ll introduce 742, added to areas served already by codes 289, 365, and 905.
The government says it’s to meet growing demand for new numbers, but won’t affect other numbers.
