NDP Candidate Calls For Federal Involvement In Mill Issue

The federal NDP candidate for Thunder Bay-Rainy River is weighing in on the restrictions placed on the future uses of the former Resolute Forest Products mill.

Yuk-Sem Won feels the federal government should intervene.

Won also throws blame on the Liberal government for failing to support northern Ontario and leaving people in the region to fight on their own.

The town of Fort Frances says conditions on the recent sale of the mill restrict any ability to restart it or access wood from the Crossroute Forest.
