Natural Gas Prices Going Up

It’s going to cost more to use natural gas in the new year.

The Ontario Energy Board is approving a rate increase for Enbridge Gas that takes effect January 1.

For customers in northwestern Ontario, it’s a 2% increase hike. That is equal to about $18 more over the course of a year on the average gas bill.

Enbridge says the rate change reflects a higher cost it expects to pay for natural gas from suppliers in 2020.
