Reed Bodnar scored three times as the Fort Frances Muskies boys hockey team opened their best-of-three semi-final series by blanking the Red Lake Rams in Red Lake last night 7-0.

Game two will be played this Saturday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.

Jaxon Gartzke, Mikel Ward, Josh Ward and Peyton Avis had the other Muskies goals.

Darien Klem was in net for the shutout.

Tatum Glowasky’s goal with 42 seconds left in overtime gave the Muskies girls hockey a 3-2 win over the visiting Sioux North Warriors in the opener of their semi-final series.

Kianna Antonick scored twice in regulation time.

The series now shifts to Sioux Lookout tomorrow for game two.

Game three, if necessary, will be played in Fort Frances on Sunday.
