Muskies dominate for third straight win

The Fort Frances Muskies extended their record to 3-0 in the Winnipeg High School Football League Friday with a convincing 63-6 win over the St. Norbert Celtics in Winnipeg.

The Muskies scored nine touchdowns.

Quarterback Parker Booth threw six touchdown passes and ran another in for a score.

Hayden Beckett was on the receiving end of two of Booth’s TD passes.

Others were taken to the end zone by Griffin Webb, Damaris Keasney, Blake Kreger and Seamus Barkley.

Running backs Jaxon Strachan and Kel Cameron chipped in with rushing touchdowns.

Beckett also converted on all nine TDs.

The Celtics only score came on a kickoff return in the second half.

St. Norbert is by former Muskie standout Adrian Huntley.

The Muskies’ next game is this Thursday against the St. John’s Tigers.

The Homecoming Game will celebrate 75 years of Muskie football.

A very large group of alumni are planning to attend the game.

Former players, coaches, officials and equipment managers are being asked to wear their old jackets or jerseys.

At halftime, a photo will be taken with all football alumni in attendance.

Kickoff is 3 p.m. at Fort Frances High School.

Fans are urged to arrive early and park in the lot adjacent to the tennis courts.
