Ontario’s Fall Economic Statement will make life in the north more affordable.
That’s according to Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford.
He says over the next couple of weeks he will be making a number of announcements including a cut to the aviation fuel tax.
“The tax relief on fuel transportation for planes landing and taking off for the north, that’s going to be significant,” says Rickford. “It should not cost me more money to fly from Kenora to Thunder Bay as it does from Winnipeg to Bombay.”
Rickford says he intends to announce other initiatives that lead to lower hydro rates and improvement to area highway.
