Motorists Charged For Insecure Load

A van load of plywood pallets has led to a charge against a Manitoba man.

OPP came across the van when they were doing spot checks of commercial vehicles on Thursday on Highway 71.

Officers noticed the pallets protruding out the back and the doors behind held by a small strap.

When the vehicle was stopped, officers noticed a significant amount of loose wood was not secure.

The 55-year-old driver from Anola, Manitoba, was charged with having an insecure load.

He was also handed a 3-day driver’s license suspension after registering in the alert range when tested for impaired driving.
