Subway says it’s going to test a meatless meatball sub at nearly 700 restaurants across Canada and the US next month.
It’s teaming up with LA-based Beyond Meat on the sandwich.
Beyond Meat is already providing plant-based products to Tim Hortons and A&W.
Subway’s announcement comes on the heels of McDonald’s Canada saying it improving on how it makes and serves its burgers, emphasizing the use of 100 per cent Canadian beef from farms in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
