More Parents Allowed Into Arenas

There’s been a change to who can watch minor hockey practices and games at the Memorial Sports Centre.

Recreation and Culture Manager Aaron Bisson says the change is effective today.

“We’re seeing a fairly high level of compliance and improvement with the intake process. We can move forward to allowing one parent or guardian per ice time to attend the ice time for all age groups starting today,” says Bisson.

Parents with children in the under 7 and 9 programs were first allowed in the arenas last week.

Everyone who enters the arenas has to be screened.

There are also specific routes to get to and from the stands and certain areas to stand or sit.

Physical distancing and mask-wearing are mandatory.
