Moffat Fund Allocations Revised

A clerical error has resulted in a change to the distribution of money from the Winnipeg Foundation and the Moffat Family Fund by the town of Fort Frances.

An application by the 908 Rainy Lake Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets had been misfiled and not included with others when the town’s steering committee met to receive and approve applications.

To make up for the mistake, money allotted to the Kiwanis Club for Sunny Cove Camp improvements was revised to allow the Air Cadets to receive $ 12 thousand.

The Kiwanis Club will now get almost $19 thousand, down from the $30 thousand announced in July.

Mayor June Caul awarded in July nine other recipients with their share of the $97 thousand received from the Moffat Family Fund.
