Ministry Watching For Potential Flooding

The Ministry of Natural Resources says there is the potential for flooding in parts of the Rainy River district.

It’s issued what it calls a Flood Outlook, noting water levels around the district are high due to recent storms.

The Ministry says that’s resulted in spring-like conditions on many rivers and streams with them expected to flow even higher this weekend.

With hunting season opening tomorrow, it’s suggesting people using less travelled roads to do so with caution.

The Ministry is also asking the public to consider posting on social media if you come across areas where flooding has occurred.
