Mines Facing Inspection

The Ministry of Labour is targeting underground mines in the latest inspection blitz.

The Ministry says inspectors are watching for hazards that could lead to a mine collapse.

The inspectors started their probe earlier this month and will continue to end of September.

The Ministry last conducted a targeted inspection of mines in 2014 when they issued 229 work orders.
