Map Points to Closed Kmart Store For Naloxone

The Minnesota Department of Health says it’s making it easier to find naloxone in the state.

It has created a digital map that identifies where to find the drug that can reserve an opioid overdose.

“For years, we have prioritized increasing access, training, and awareness of naloxone in the state, and this new tool is an exciting step forward,” says Minnesota Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm. “Using this tool can simplify the process of accessing naloxone and, in turn, save lives. We want everyone to remember that – if needed – they can be the one to provide rescue steps before 911 in an overdose emergency.”

However, for International Falls, the map points to the drug being available at the Kmart Pharmacy.

Kmart closed its doors three years ago.

The health department says the Naloxone Finder tool was put up in December.

Other locations show the drug available at a drug store in Baudette
